We interviewed Mr.Oike, owner of Dog Salon DELL’AMORE, which uses Power Rotary Scissors elex.
Various management equipment and facilities have been installed to ensure pesticide-free and thorough lawn management.
QWhat made you decide to introduce Power Rotary Scissors elex?
I had always thought Power Rotary Scissors looked like an interesting tool that could be used as a turf cutter for lawns. Since a set with a battery-powered set was released, I purchased the loop handle version. I use Power Rotary Scissors to mow the crease around the lawn. I like the fact that there is almost no flying debris and kick-back. Although we don’t use it often, it is very helpful because it greatly improves the efficiency of mowing the edges. We plan to use it for edging lawns and cutting in during partial repairs. I am also purchasing a hand-pushed Power Rotary Scissors because it was so easy to use.
QHow does it feel to use compared to other tools?
I am very satisfied with the feel of the machine. Before we introduced Power Rotary Scissors, we used to weed along the fence using a chip saw, but it was difficult to mow the edges, so we purchased Power Rotary Scissors for its efficiency and workability. The fact that Power Rotary Scissors can be disassembled for maintenance is wonderful. I feel a sense of security because I can easily replace even the smallest parts. I think the ease of maintenance is a good thing that other companies products do not have. Power Rotary Scissors elex can be used for about an hour, which is just the right amount of time. It is easy to use and I have no complaints. By the way, we do not use the string trimmer at all because it causes scratches and splinters on the fence.
Q.What is your commitment to lawn care?
We are very particular about pesticide-free management and drainage. Poor drainage and high pH ammonia are harsh conditions for lawns, so we use culvert drainage. Culvert drainage is mainly used on golf courses and athletic fields, but it is very expensive, so there are very few dog run that use it. The main purpose is to improve the drainage of the land, but thanks to the fact that root rot and urine burns caused by water are reduced, the lawn does not need to be replaced and remains beautiful. Poor drainage makes the space less comfortable for your dog.
At the time of the interview, there were no puddles despite the heavy rains that had been occurring every day, confirming that the area was well drained.
ＱHow do you manage your lawn?
I plant my lawn with no pesticide management and maintain a mowing height of 8mm-25mm. I think Power Rotary Scissors is a good tool because it keeps the mowing height uniform. In terms of management, coring is a must in terms of lawn growth and development. In the early days, we used to do it manually, but it sometimes took several hours even for a small area, so we purchased a large coring machine, although we also hired a contractor to do it for us. The only place where this machine has been installed is in stadiums.
QHave you ever considered using pesticides?
Pesticides are easier to manage if we use them, and even the slightest use is unlikely to affect the animal from a chemical point of view. However, the customer may be concerned that even a small amount of pesticide may have a negative effect on their dog. This is a possibility that customers may be concerned about. For the sake of our customers who want to let their dogs play in a clean place, we have no plans to use pesticides in the future. We will continue to utilize great IDECH products for weed and lawn management.
