Thanks to Weed Shaver, I am free from the pain of manual labor
We interviewed Mr. Akira Nishimura, a farmer who uses Weed Shaver.
Q. What made you decide to introduce Weed Shaver?
A.I use herbicide only once after rice planting, and the rest of the time I try to produce with as little herbicide as possible. Herbicides are effective in most areas, but they are less effective in the corners and along the edges, where weeds inevitably grow. Weeding had to be done manually each time, which was very time-consuming and physically demanding, making it very labor intensive. I wanted to do something about this heavy labor, so I consulted an agricultural equipment store, which introduced me to the “Weed Shaver,” and after seeing the actual product at an exhibition, I decided to purchase it.

Q. How do you feel about using Weed Shaver?
A.It has eliminated the burden of manual labor and reduced weeding time. I am very satisfied with the ease of use. Fill the water tank with about 5 cm of water and run the weed whacker to the spot where weeds are growing. Immediately after rice planting, the soil is soft and it bites into the soil firmly, so the weeds can be removed from the root base. This method is possible because of the vertical rotation, and it is very effective in controlling weeds. This is the third year since we purchased the machine, and we intend to continue using it as a valuable asset. I was not sure whether to buy it or not, but now I am very glad I did.
