バッテリーでもパワー不足を感じません
We interviewed Ms. Kazuhiro Terada, the owner of the Terada farm which uses the Weed Hammer Blade and Power Rotary Scissors elex.
Q. What crops are you growing and what weeding tools do you use?
A. We grow strawberries, rice and vegetables such as carrots and green onions. We have four main weeding tools. They are a spider mower, Weed Hammer Blade, Power Rotary Scissors, and string trimmer. Basically, I weed large areas with the spider mower, and depending on the area, I use IDECH products.
A.I use Power Rotary Scissors mainly on the banks of rice paddies. There is one area where we cannot put up weed prevention sheets because it borders someone else’s property, and the slope is so steep that it is dangerous to use a metal blade. Power Rotary Scissors is very useful because it has almost no flying stones and kick-back.
Weed Hammer Blade is used in plastic greenhouses and in the field.
It is very easy to use in dry soil and is useful for weeding after harvesting crops.
Q. Please tell us why you introduced power rotary scissors elex and how you feel about using them.
A.スーパーカルマーを使用していたのですが、ナイロンカッターを使う時に先端の取り外しが億劫だったのでバッテリー刈払機セットを買いました。バッテリー式にこだわりがあったわけではありませんが、エンジン騒音がなくてストレスも少ないので、バッテリー式にして良かったと思っています。周辺にも住宅が多いですから。作業性に関してはエンジン式よりパワーがあるんではないでしょうか。パワー不足を感じたことはないですし作業時間も充分です。一時間も作業すれば疲れてきますから、バッテリーが無くなった頃に終えられるので丁度良いですね。
Q. アイデックへの要望はありますか？
A.畑の中での使用だとモノが小さい方が快適なので、短くて手軽に利用できる製品があればありがたいですね。後は角度を可変できるようになれば、助かる農家さんも多いと思うので是非お願いしたいです。
